The Plaskit Water-Cooled Screw Chiller is an industrial refrigeration unit built around a high-efficiency screw compressor as its core component — available in both single screw and twin screw configurations to match different capacity and operational requirements. The chiller achieves reliable, energy-efficient cooling through a shell-and-tube condenser, a flooded or dry-expansion shell and tube evaporator, and an intelligent microcomputer PLC control system with precision temperature regulation and full operational diagnostics.

Process Demonstration

 The operation of the screw chiller water cooling system can be understood through two primary circulation loops: the chilled water loop and the cooling water loop.

Chilled Water Loop (Internal Circulation)

1.Water Inlet (08): Water from the process requiring cooling enters the Water Tank (03).

2.Internal Circulation Pump (04): This pump draws water from the Water Tank (03) and circulates it through the Shell and Tube Evaporator (05), which is an integral part of the Chiller Unit (06).

3.Chiller Unit (06) & Shell and Tube Evaporator (05): Within the evaporator, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the circulating water, effectively chilling it to the desired temperature. The chilled water then exits the evaporator.

4.Water Outlet (02): The cooled water is then directed back to the industrial process or application through the Water Outlet (02), where it absorbs heat from the equipment.

5.The warmed water returns to the Water Tank (03) via the Water Inlet (08), completing the internal circulation cycle.

Cooling Water Loop (External Circulation)

1.Chiller Unit (06): As the refrigerant in the chiller unit absorbs heat from the chilled water, it becomes a high-pressure,high-temperature gas. This heat needs to be rejected to the environment.

2.Cooling Tower (07): The Chiller Unit (06) transfers the absorbed heat to a separate cooling water circuit. This warm cooling water is then pumped to the Cooling Tower (07).

3.External Circulation Pump (01): This pump facilitates the circulation of cooling water between the Chiller Unit (06) and the Cooling Tower (07).

4.In the Cooling Tower (07), heat is dissipated into the atmosphere through evaporation, cooling the water. The cooled water then returns to the Chiller Unit (06) to absorb more heat, completing the external circulation cycle.
